23rd August - I was working for Paul Cook at the Red Bull X-Fighters show at Battersea Power Station last week. All my previous experience of showbiz glamour went out the window when I arrived for my site induction. The 'venue' was essentially one huge construction site with audience seating around the edge. It took 4 days to install all the equipment for the show but as always, everything magically came together at the last minute. Paul gave me a lot of hands-on experience in the industry and proved to be a great mentor. The show went very well and I have just watched the recording on my TV back home. I look forward to working with Paul again in future.

5th July
- In my lighting design for the music show, I have made use of video projection, which will cover the whole of the cyclorama in video loops complimenting the music. This will be effective as it adds a whole new dimension to an otherwise 'still' show.

2nd July
- I have just been hired to manage all visual aspects of a music competiton show. I found a production manager to ensure the smooth running of the show who has now been employed on my recommendation.

12th May
- I am now taking a break from all events to complete my GCSEs before the summer. I have one or two upcoming events in July and August... More on that later...

10th April
- I went up to Wembley Arena today to visit Tim on the Dancing on Ice tour. I learned loads from him and the show was fantastic - the opening sequence was very dramatic and had a clever surprise at the end. I am inspired by the lighting design and Tim's programming which is second to none.

28th March
- Just got back from another round of Classical Spectacular. It was, as always fantastic! Durham had some demo lights from Clay Paky up in the rig - the new Alpha Beam 300/1500s which worked very well. I was lucky enough to focus the Par Cans around the perimeter of the hall - although leaning over the edge made it hard and awkward so I could have done better... I also focused the Strand 'Bambino's' backlighting the 'Muskets and Cannons' - a far easier job there!
